Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

  Recipients:

Recipients of the data may be technical service providers who act as processors for the operation and maintenance of our website.

  Storage Duration:

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of their collection. This is generally the case for the data used for the provision of the website when the respective session has ended.

If the data is stored in log files, this is the case after 14 days at the latest. Storage beyond this is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are anonymized, so that an assignment to the calling client is no longer possible.

  Provision Required or Necessary:

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the IP address, the service and functionality of our website are not guaranteed. Furthermore, individual services and features may not be available or may be restricted. For this reason, an objection is excluded.

Geo-Localization / Automatic Language Selection

Nature and Purpose of Processing:

If you grant us your consent via the Consent Management System used on our website, we use a geo-localization service to determine your probable country of residence and pre-select the language of the website based on this.

For this purpose, your IP address is processed exclusively in an abbreviated form. The abbreviation is done in such a way that direct attribution to your person is no longer possible. The abbreviated IP address is then matched with the "IP2Location" service database to assign a country (e.g., DE, AT, CH) to your access. Based on this determined country, a suitable language version of our website is then pre-selected.

The following data, in particular, are processed within the scope of geo-localization:

  • abbreviated IP address
  •
  • date and time of access
  •
  • determined country / country code
  •
  • technical information about the browser and end device (User Agent), if necessary

No further evaluation or merging with other data about your person takes place. The assignment is made exclusively at the country level and only serves for more convenient use of our website through automatic language pre-selection.

Legal Basis:

The legal basis for this data processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, which you provide via the Consent Management System. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via the settings in the Consent Management System by deactivating the geo-localization option there.

Recipients:

Recipients of the data processed within the scope of geo-localization are the service provider "IP2Location" used by us, as well as possibly technical service providers who act as processors for the operation and maintenance of our website.

Storage Duration:

The abbreviated IP address is only used for the duration of the geo-localization process and the associated session and is not stored permanently. The selected language version may also be stored in a cookie to consider your selection during further visits to our website (see section "Cookies").

Provision Required or Necessary:

The provision of the aforementioned personal data for the purpose of geo-localization is neither legally nor contractually required. The use of geo-localization is voluntary and only takes place if you grant us your consent. Without your consent, no geo-localization takes place; in this case, either the standard language of our website will be displayed or you can manually select the language.

  Contact Form

The data you enter is stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. This requires the provision of a valid email address and your name. This serves to assign the request and subsequently answer it. The provision of further data is optional.

  Recipients:

Recipients of the data may be processors.

  Storage Duration:

Data will be deleted no later than 6 months after processing the request.

If a contractual relationship arises, we are subject to the statutory retention periods according to HGB (German Commercial Code) and delete your data after these periods expire.

  Provision Required or Necessary:

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your inquiry if you provide us with your name, your email address, and the reason for the inquiry.

  SSL Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS.

Information about your Right to Object according to Art. 21 GDPR

Right to Object based on Individual Case

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 4 GDPR.
